Behavioral Facade, Part II (In Progress) (Cochran | Hays)

Behavioral Facade II

Expanding on the behavioral facade from the previous post, this facade includes a field of varying grid sizes and opens three panels for each grid component at a time.  Although still in progress, the three panels working in concert help to direct wind from one direction into the hypothetical building behind the facade – and, when the wind comes from the opposite direction, a different combination of three panels will open to direct wind inside.  Finally, this model will eventually be able to follow the hypothetical path of the wind across the facade, opening one portion of the building’s enclosure at a time.
